Creating an Account and Enrolling for Auditions

These instructions will help guide you through the steps to create an account and enroll in auditions at DraperArtsCouncil.org. The main steps are:

  1. Create an account.
  2. Fill out your account profile.
  3. Create child accounts.
  4. Fill out child account profiles.
  5. Enroll yourself or your child accounts in auditions.

Creating an account is a one-time deal, so you’ll only do Steps #1 and #3 one time. You might repeat Steps #2 or #4 if something on your own or your child’s profile has changed, like your address or phone number. You’ll do Step #5 EACH TIME you want to audition.

Let’s get started!

Suggestion: Print out these instructions, or keep them open in a separate browser tab, so that you can easily refer back to them while creating your account.

Step 1. Create your own account

First you need to create your own account. (If you already have an account, log in and go to Step 2.) Go to the Login page (use the link at the top of any page) and then click on the [Create Account] link. Follow the instructions to create an account which will prompt you to:

  1. provide your email;
  2. click on a confirmation link sent to your email; and,
  3. provide your name and a password.

After completing these tasks you will be logged in and looking at the “Welcome” page.

Step 2. Fill out your own account profile

After you are logged in and seeing the Welcome page, go to the Account page (use the link at the top), where you can edit your profile and do the following:

  1. fill out your personal information;
  2. fill out your theater experience; and,
  3. upload your head shot.

If you aren’t enrolling yourself in auditions, you can skip tasks #2 and #3.

Step 3. Create child accounts

For children that don’t have an email of their own (or don’t want to create their own account) you can create a “child account” and manage it on their behalf. Starting on the Account page, click on the [Add Child Account] link and fill out the information. Repeat for each child account you want to create.

Step 4. Fill out child account profiles

Now you need to edit the profile for each child account. Using the account menu at the top of the page, switch to each child account and do the following (this is the same thing you did for your own account in an earlier step, but now you are doing it for each child account):

  1. fill out your child’s personal information;
  2. fill out your child’s theater experience; and,
  3. upload your child’s head shot.

All this account information will be ready and waiting when you come back a few months later for the next show’s auditions—you won’t have to fill it all out again. Yay!

Step 5. Enroll in auditions

After your own account and your child accounts are in place, you are ready to enroll in auditions. If you aren’t already logged in, log in to your account and go to the Auditions page (use the link at the top), where you’ll see a list of available auditions.

To enroll your own account, click on the [Enroll] link.

To enroll your child accounts, use the account menu at the top of the page to switch to each child account and enroll each child.

Whichever account you enroll, you’ll be asked for some additional information specific to the audition, including interested roles and a conflict calendar. Fill that out, hit the “Enroll” button at the bottom and you’re done!

On the day of auditions

When you arrive for auditions, check in with the volunteers at the reception desk. They will review your enrollment for complete information and make sure you have uploaded a head shot (they’ll take one on the spot if necessary). They’ll assign you a check-in number and then you’ll wait to be called in front of the directors.

Good luck! Break a leg!
