Mikayla Batschi

Mikayla Batschi started her formal music education with violin lessons at three years old. Mikayla started her extensive training in vocal performance at the age of 8, and has been trained in classical, opera, and musical theater in both legit and belt/mix. She has been trained by Debra and Barry Bounous, Jim Wilcock, Valaura Arnold, and Arden Hopkin. She has performed in over 30 musical theater productions and two operatic productions. Some of her favorite credits include La Carlotta (Phantom of the Opera), Eliza (My Fair Lady), Mrs. Potts and The Wardrobe (Beauty and the Beast), The Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), and Fiordiligi (Cosi Fan Tutte). Mikayla has worked as a music director with the ACT Performing Arts Academy, Alpine Community Theater, Lamplight Theater Company, and Draper Arts Council.

As well as singing, Mikayla is an accomplished flutist, and enjoys playing the piano. She is very artistic and loves to draw, sew and craft during her free time. She played Volleyball in high school, was on the swim team, and loves horseback riding.

Mikayla graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies. She married her husband, Alex, in 2016 and has two children - Nathan and Daniel. She opened Batschi Vocals Studio in 2019 and currently works full time as a vocal instructor.
