Anna Richey Gibbons

Anna Richey (Gibbons) is a 17 year-old singer/songwriter. She wrote her first song when she was 8 years old and has loved singing and songwriting ever since. She also loves to act! Her favorite role was playing Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Besides singing, dancing, and acting, she loves photography, four-wheeling, and fishing, among other things. Anna is a senior at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, UT and her dream in life is to help influence the world with uplifting music that can help people feel good about themselves.

Anna has won several awards for many different songwriting competitions. She was a finalist in the 16th Annual Great American Song Contest out of nearly 1,700 songwriters around the world for her first original song, “Broken.” The music video to “Broken,” (a song about being bullied by some of her close friends) is featured on several national anti-bullying websites. Last summer, Anna had the opportunity to walk on the Red Carpet at the “Teen Video Awards” located at the YouTube Space in Los Angeles, California for an awards ceremony for the NO BULL Challenge contest. She was nominated for 3 awards and won “Best Directing” for her music video, “Broken.” Her song also won “Best Music Video” and placed first at the CLIFF Awards in Ontario, Canada.

Anna has been able to work and collaborate with talented songwriters such as Nik Day. Nik helped Anna co-write the song “Fragile” which she sang for the 2015 Mutual Theme for the LDS Church. The music video for “Fragile” can be found on the LDS.org and Mormon.org websites, as well as the Church’s YouTube channel. Anna has also built up a YouTube channel with several music videos and continues to add videos weekly.
