Valaura Arnold

Valaura Arnold is recognized for the versatility of her artistry as a singer, actress and director. The scope of her career includes an impressive breadth of diverse genres, including opera, musical theatre, oratorio and big band. She has performed throughout the United States, including local venues such as The Grand Theatre, Kingsbury Hall, Temple Square and Abravanel Hall. Her favorite credits include Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Elvira in Don Giovanni, Countess Almavira in Le Nozze de Figaro, Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore, Marian in The Music Man and Julie in Carousel. Valaura has recorded for Brite Music, Living Scriptures, Utah Voices 2011 and Imagine Learning. She has shared the stage with many amazing musicians including Stephen Sondheim, Bobby McFerrin, Jenny Oaks Baker, Jon Schmidt, and Paul Cardall. Her CD of jazz hits, “At Last” is available on Itunes, Amazon, CDbaby and on her website at www.valaura.com. Valaura performs regularly with local Jazz and Big Bands throughout Utah as well as orchestras and choirs. She is currently a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. As a director, Valaura takes great joy in helping her cast to create magic on stage. The director the children’s performing group "Main Event" for 15 years Valaura has also coached and directed many adult and teen ensembles. She has music directed many productions including "Damn Yankees," "The Wizard of Oz", "Halloween Hijinks", "Broadway Family Favorites," and "The Big Band Tribute." Valaura has both a Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah and maintains a private voice studio in home in Riverton, Utah.
